RIP Clive Burr

Clive BurrAfter a long battle with MS, my dear friend Clive Burr passed away in his sleep last night. We worked together on a project called Desperado from 1988-1990 and shared some great times, and sadly forgotten musical moments. I'm blessed to have spoken to him a couple of days ago on his birthday, shared some memories and a few smiles. A rock n roll legend has been lost, and the world of music is less because of it. RIP Clive and "hit 'em hard" in rock n roll heaven. - Dee Snider

Dee, took a few moments to sign up to not only thank you for remembering Clive Burr (my drumming hero! I'm so happy to learn you kept in touch & were fortunate enough to speak to him before his passing), but to tell you as an original metal head going back to the L'Amours days when Maiden and Priest just broke and Sister were gaining prominence, I've only just discovered the Desperado tracks and have been just floored by them. Seriously, could listen to nothing else for weeks. Of course, as always, Clive is right on point throughout. But I did want to pass along how incredible I thought your vocals (Ive never heard you sound better, which is saying something; always loved your voice) and the songwriting is. (cont'd)

Calling for You, Ride Through the Storm, See You at Sunrise, just some of the best, catchiest, grooviest themed metal I've ever heard. So, just to let you know, these are not forgotten musical memories.I've passed on the youtube links of this vibrant music yourself & Clive and the guys created to all my old metal friends, who are enjoying it this very moment! So it lives on!!! Btw, awesome in front of Congress LOL> 'Tipper went looking for S&M and she found it". One of the great lines of all time, My Brutha! Be well.
